#FitReaders 2016 Challenge
This is my first challenge for 2016 and think it’s an awesome one. I recently had to replace my treadmill because I decided it was time to get back on the wagon and get into shape. Back in the day, I use to run 5Ks for fun. Not so much anymore and now the run has turned more into a walk. Therefore, when I saw the #FitReaders 2016 Challenge being hosted by Jen @Twimom227 (That’s What I’m Talking About) and Felicia @TheGeekyBlogger (Geeky Bloggers Book Blog) I had to join in the fun. Here’s a quick explanation from Jen and Felicia to tell you how it works.
What is a Virtual 5k? This Virtual 5k is organized online and FitReaders from all over the world can compete. Where it is different from a traditional 5K is that you are responsible for completing the walk/run at any place you desire, at any time during the race timeframe that works for you. For this series, each race will need to be completed between the first and last day of the month. You will need to take a picture at the end of the race (not of your face if you don’t want but your time, song list, ect) and post it either on FB, Twitter, or your check-in. You will check in every month at the finish line page each month so that we can track who did how many (Check the down below for the link) . Each month there will be a virtual ribbon that you can display proudly on your check-ins. If at the end of the year you have completed 10 of the 12 races–you will get a medal.
